Teaching Your Pets To Do Tricks

Hello, my name is Simone Walters. Welcome to my website about training your pets to do tricks. All animals can learn how to do tricks if you use the right approach to training. When I train my pets, I use clickers to mark the correct movements that I want to link to a command word. Then I give my pets praise and treats to reward them for a job well done. Although I prefer this training method, there are many others to consider. On this site, I will cover all the different types of ways to train your pets to do tricks. Come back soon to learn more.

What You Should Know If You Are Thinking About Getting A Miniature Poodle

When you have decided that you are going to be adding a dog to your family, you may find yourself faced with a wide variety of options. If you have narrowed down your choices and are primarily interested in miniature poodle puppies, you have taken a major step. But before you commit fully to the miniature poodle breed, you may want to get to know some of the important facts about them. That way, you can be sure that you are getting the right breed for yourself and your family.

Miniature Poodles Are People Dogs

One of the main things you need to know about miniature poodles is that they are people dogs. This means that they like to be around their humans as much as possible. Miniature poodles are not the ideal dogs to have if you work extremely long hours or will not be home much in the evenings after work.

These dogs are social and loving and need to be around their humans to live happy lives. If you work a regular eight or nine-hour day, though, or even better if you work from home, a miniature poodle can be a great addition to your household and family.

Miniature Poodles Are Sharp

If you are hoping to find yourself a dog that is extremely smart and catches on fast, then miniature poodle puppies are the right choice for you. These dogs have keen intellects and are quick to learn commands, behaviors, and tricks.

However, you do want to keep in mind that because miniature poodles are so intelligent that they can almost be too smart for their own good. What this means is that without proper training, they can learn many behaviors that you do not want them to learn and could potentially make your life difficult and frustrating.

If you get a miniature poodle, be sure you get them scheduled for a training class right away. As long as you commit to training them, their intelligence will be a point of pride for you and your family rather than a source of stress and frustration.

Miniature Poodles Are Active

While most people think of small dogs as laid back and somewhat lacking in motivation to exercise, this is not the case for miniature poodles. These dogs are quite active and would benefit from twice daily walks and a good amount of play time in the house or the yard.

They are naturally active and playful dogs. This makes them the ideal pet if you already lead an active lifestyle or if you have older kids that would enjoy playing with and walking the dog. Be prepared for your pup to be full of energy when you get home from work and plan on spending some active time with them.

Now that you know some of the important characteristics of miniature poodles, you can contact a breeder and get the right miniature poodle puppy for you and your family.
